Naturally Extracted - Massage Gel from Black Sea Lye

The lye is a residual product in the production of / NaCl salt for eating / by the
classical method - evaporating seawater. This method is dated from centuries.

Unfortunately, at the moment there are only two places in the world that extract salt in this way - one in Eritrea on the Dead Sea /Israel/ and the other is in Pomorie - Bourgas /Bulgaria/

In almost all other places, salt is extracted from underground mines or salt springs.

In the classical method technologically, the sea water seeps into sea estuaries (coastal lakes) such as Pomorie and Burgas lakes in a natural way. There, naturally by the sun through evaporation, the water thickens and increases its salinity. Then, in early spring, some of the water in the lakes is pumped to smaller lakes called "pans" where the water thickens even more by evaporation from the sun.

At the beginning of the summer, this already highly salty water with pumps or by gravity is taken to the salt pans themselves, which are small or larger /rectangles/ with approximately 20x40 m openings surrounded by wooden frames. And with the possibility to move salt carts between them. The water in them is about 35 - 40 cm. In these salt pans in the summer, when the sun is at its strongest, the evaporation of the water thickens even more.

In the middle of August from this high salt water / NaCl - sodium chloride, ie. table salt crystallizes first and falls to the bottom of the salt pan, forming a salt layer of about 10-12 cm. Above the salt layer remains non-crystallized liquid very thick brownish red in color which is actually the lye. It is pumped into a separate pool as it interferes with the collection of salt. This is actually our raw material / lye /, from which we produce our products. Since NaCl - sodium chloride, ie. table salt / has already crystallized and there is very little in the lye the main ingredients that remain in it are magnesium salts / magnesium chloride and magnesium sulfate / It is these magnesium salts are the most valuable ingredients in lye that help with all these bone and joint problems that have people. Currently, many doctors recommend taking magnesium pills (which are artificial) and in many cases have side effects, especially for the stomach.

This method of lye production is unique because it preserves all the microbiological and mineral substances of seawater. There are only a few places in the world that produce sea lye. Every year, millions of tourists from all around the world come to learn about this ancient technology and tradition. Thanks to the plentiful lye, salt, and mud extracted from the lake, the Pomorie Health Center became world-renowned for its treatment of the locomotor system’s diseases, and Pomorie is where the only salt museum in Europe is located.

We offer an absolutely natural product with the highest content of magnesium salts, which penetrate transdermally / through the skin / and without any side effects.

Older adults (after 35-40 age) have lower dietary intakes of magnesium than younger adults. In addition, magnesium absorption from the gut decreases and renal magnesium excretion increases with age. Older adults are also more likely to have chronic diseases or take medications that alter magnesium status, which can increase their risk of magnesium depletion. Habitually low intakes of magnesium induce changes in biochemical pathways that can increase
the risk of illness over time. Examples are joint problems, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, migraine headaches, sore muscles etc.

The unique healing properties of lye lie in its rich composition of natural mineral and organic compounds, which contains all biologically-active substances of seawater in greater
concentration.

Composition
The main elements contained in lye are calcium, sodium, magnesium, chlorine, bromine, sulfates, hydrogens, many trace elements, and organic substances.
Amongst these elements, lye contains the highest amount of magnesium salts including magnesium chloride and magnesium sulfate. Magnesium is an essential element for many processes in the human body including cellular energy production and metabolism. Magnesium plays a major role in balancing the nervous and muscular system, reduces muscle pain, prevents cramps, and nourishes the hair, skin, and nails. Stress and fatigue (physical or mental) deplete magnesium from the body cells. That's why after heavy physical or mental strain, it is necessary to replenish the body’s needs for magnesium.
In addition to the rich mineral composition, lye also contains many biologically-active substances such as microalgae (rich in chlorophyll, vitamins, etc.), and zooplankton.
